Our rooms were well priced and air conditioned on the balcony. The location was amazing, at a moderate distance from Mao'er Hutong. The restaurant was good, and the staff caring and very hospitable.

Hostel is in great location, close to subway, restaurant street nearby, staff is friendly

The hostel has a very strong sewer smell, rooms are damp, only window was in bathroom and faced in to hallway, tours etc through hostel are over priced

Convenient to subway on 2 lines and from Airport line, Lama and Confucius Temples. Booking tours at front desk was easy, small shop selling basic items, great Cafe/Bar upstairs which served basic meals and drinks - good value.. All staff very helpful and translated directions and addresses into mandarin, on written notes, when needed.

I recently had a fantastic stay at a hotel in Beijing that I would highly recommend. One of the best aspects of this hotel is its amazing location in a Hutong, which gave me a real time machine feeling. Walking through the area, I could see geese in the backyards, truly immersing myself in the traditional surroundings. The hotel is conveniently situated in the city centre, just a few minutes away from the nearest underground station and bus stop, making it incredibly easy to explore the city.

All in all, my experience at this hotel was fantastic and I can't wait to visit again.

The staff at reception were very helpful and spoke good English. They were always happy to answer questions. I had dinner at the bar one night and the food was good and value for money

The photos on the website do not reflect the reality of the place. I knew it was not a 4 star hotel but the decor was worn out, the furniture looked like it came from a second-hand shop and the bathroom did not have a separate shower. Also there was a bit of a mould/sewer smell in the room

Pleasant environment with areas to lounge around within the hotel. English speaking staff who were very helpful. Price of food and drink at the bar is reasonable. Internet available.

Finding it for the first time was difficult. The air conditioner in my room was ok but I would have preferred if it had been better

The hotel is conveniently located near the metro, making it easy to reach the main street or the Chinese opera. the staff is incredibly helpful and can assist with calling a taxi heading to the airport. the courtyard-style rooms are spacious, and some have views that add a nice touch to the experience. the character of the hotel gives a unique Chinese feel to the stay.

The hotel's bathroom is small, which may not be suitable for all guests.

Nice, cheep hotel with friendly staff in the close vicinity of subway stations and good connection with city centre and air port. The room was cleaned everyday however the bathroom was arranged in that way that the room was a little moist. The hotel bar served good meals and drinks in moderate prices and there was the best opportunity to meet people from over the world.

internet lousy

The hotel's location in the heart of a bustling hutong, just steps away from the Lama Temple and the subway station, is fantastic for exploring the vibrant city. The surrounding area may be a bit shady at night, but it comes to life during the day with its authentic Chinese shops and restaurants. The rooms, although a bit chilly and without windows, are surprisingly comfortable and well-equipped with a bathroom, shower, and even a free breakfast if you're staying for a few days. The staff are friendly and the basic amenities provided are satisfactory for a pleasant stay.

Very helpful staff and location is great because its very close to the 2 main metro lines. The Hutong experience is definitely worth it. Rooms are fine, be prepared for the normal sewer smell. Bathroom is open plan (shower not separated from toilet/sink) but is fine. Bar is nice to relax in and food is nice.

One staff member didnt seem interested in helping with any questions about sightseeing, this made us feel bad when asking for info.

Convenient Location, Helpful Staff

During my new year trip, I stayed at a hotel that was located close to all the attractions and markets. The location was perfect as I could easily navigate around the city. The hotel staff was quite helpful and always ready to assist with any queries. They also provided a basket of fruits as a welcome gift which was a nice touch. The room was small, but it had all the essential amenities required for a comfortable stay.

There was a foul smell from the sewage, and the bathroom felt quite unclean. I had to purchase incense to mask the smell.
